Celebrity Apprentice Blog : Getting Ratty

It started off so good! The Make-A -Wish kid, Jon Paul is such a sweetheart and he is so business minded. He was telling me stories about his lemonade stand and other business ventures. You would never be able to tell that Jon Paul had been sick. He’s a very resilient kid. I love his mom and I am so thankful I got to meet her. Make-A-Wish is such a wonderful charity. Jon Paul’s story is so inspiring and I am excited to see him again in New York at the finale. 20,000 dollars to Make-A-Wish!! Yes but….

This week’s episode was the hardest for me to watch so far. Everyone seemed tense and it wasn’t as fun as the other two shows. Summer unfortunately was not the best leader and neither was Michael. Leading is a hard thing. Summer was too afraid of hurting feelings and making decisions, where Michael was not afraid at all. Being a great leader is a combination of respecting others’ opinions and also knowing what you want. Summer is a sweetheart and I felt bad for her in this episode because she did not know exactly what she wanted. What you didn’t see on the show was the argument that Team Tenacity got in at the table. I said a spokesperson is one person and not 3. And I said, “Let’s look up the definition of spokesperson.” I was very bitchy and I was so tired during this episode but I felt like it took far too long to get going. It was just such a complicated task. I wanted to use Cyndi because she IS so unique. I agree that she is hard to handle but I wanted to do the advertorial with all different people saying that they were Cyndi. An 80-year old man dressed as Cyndi saying, “I’m Cyndi Lauper.” A baby dressed up as Cyndi saying, “I’m Cyndi Lauper!” A tattooed punk rocker saying, “I’m Cyndi Lauper!” In essence the Ad would be saying that anyone can try to steal your identity but with Norton 360 and LifeLock you are protected. There is only one Cyndi Lauper and the idea was to have her on the last page saying, “I’m the only Cyndi Lauper.” I got shut down and that just added to my irritation. Nobody seemed to be listening to anyone else and since I had watched every episode of The Celebrity Apprentice last season, I knew what the critiques would be on our project for this episode. I didn’t want to lose but I really thought we were heading down the wrong path.

Celebrity Apprentice Recap & Captures: Episode #03

Captures: view | Stills: view | Video: watch on NBC.com

Maria was the focus at the beginning of this week’s show when she met up with Jon Paul, a very special Make A Wish kid. Maria surprised him with a $20,000 check she earned from Tenacity’s win during the “Kodak Challenge”. Maria also told Jon Paul that he was invited to the Celebrity Apprentice finale and meeting the man himself, Donald Trump who just happened to be Jon Paul’s hero.

The task for this week was that they had to create an “advertorial” for a new online identity theft partnership between Norton Antivirus and LifeLock security systems. Summer Sanders was chosen as Tenacity’s project manager, while fellow Olympic gold medalist Michael Johnson was made project manager for the men. Things started off kind of rocky for the ladies, with Summer seemingly blowing off Maria’s suggestion of making Cyndi Lauper the spokesperson for their project and instead choosing Sharon Osbourne. While Maria and Cyndi were sent out to get props, Summer meets with the photographer for the project and it becomes pretty clear they have no direction for their goal. Donald Jr. mentions that he isn’t sure if the women will be able to pull it together in the short amount of time they have when he stops in to see how things are coming along.

ScrippsNews.com – Kanellis putting brains, beauty to good use outside WWE

This isn’t how Maria Kanellis planned to spend “Wrestlemania 26″ weekend. One month ago, Kanellis expected to be a part of the festivities surrounding World Wrestling Entertainment’s annual pay-per-view extravaganza. WWE, though, abruptly fired one of its most popular female performers just as she was about to receive her greatest mainstream exposure on “Celebrity Apprentice.”

To her credit, Kanellis didn’t let the release slow her budding entertainment career. She quickly agreed to serve as a “backstage correspondent” on the “King of the Cage: Legacy” mixed-martial-arts show airing live from Reno, Nev., at 10 p.m. EDT Friday on HD-Net.

“This is definitely a new adventure,” Kanellis said Tuesday during a telephone interview. “It’s funny because I was on the road a lot of times (with WWE) when there were MMA shows going on. I don’t know about it as much as I would like, but I’m going to know a lot about it very soon.”

A former reality-show contestant, Kanellis branched into pro wrestling when signing with WWE in 2004. Kanellis became so popular that she was voted WWE 2009 Diva of the Year despite taking an extended leave of absence to tape “Celebrity Apprentice,” which is now airing at 9 p.m. Sundays on NBC.
