Just wanted to pop in an apologize for the recent downtime the site has suffered for the better part of this weekend. We had a minor hosting issue but that has since been solved with the site being swiftly moved to a brand new host. Some things may still be or look a bit screwy for a bit until we’re back to 100%, which shouldn’t be long I hope. I want to thank you guys for your patience and I am sorry for any inconvenience this caused.

In other site news, I’d also like to mention that Jen has decided to step away from MKO completely and has officially handed the reigns over to me as owner. Thank you Jen for bringing me in those years ago and allowing me to continue on with your creation, there would have been no MariaKanellisOnline.com with out you girl!

We made a point to ask some of the Smackdown stars if they felt left out of the whole “Celebrity Host” deal. “It would be cool, you know, to have a celebrity host backstage,” admitted Dolph Ziggler. “You know, that I could pal around with. Or they could be really happy to see me.”

And what about Ziggler’s “girlfriend,” WWE Diva Maria? “I was very very very disappointed that I didn’t get to meet Jeremy Piven,” she said. “I was very upset about that. Entourage is one of my favorite shows.”

Who would Ziggler and Maria like to see host Smackdown? “Heidi Montag,’ Ziggler smiled. “I’m a big fan of her…music” Being in LA for Summerslam, it was possible that the two of them might actually bump into each other. “I was hoping she’d show up, or even be here tonight” Ziggler said, commenting on the celebrities that were turning up for the Summerslam party. We told him he might get lucky. “Well, she might get lucky,’ Ziggler stated.

Channing Tatum was Maria‘s pick. “Oh my god,” she swooned. “I know he’s a married man and I have a man, but that man is hot. He’s a very sexy man.” The two of us then joked about Tatum having a GI Joe theme with previous host Sergeant Slaughter. “Me and my girls we actually bought GQ so that we could have his…um, spread,” laughed Maria.

Captures: view | Live Pix: view | Video: backstageMelina was backstage with Maria and Melina seemed concerned about her dating Dolph Ziggler. Maria asked why everyone just can’t be happy for her. Apparently, after Summerslam, Dolph was cavorting around with another woman, and Melina saw it. Melina said she wished she hadn’t seen it. Maria said that maybe Melina is jealous of her. Does she have a boyfriend that cares about her? Melina told Maria she should ask herself that question. Nice. Then Ziggler walked up as Melina walked away. Ziggler asked what that was about and Maria told Ziggler. Dolph admitted he was with another woman- his sister, who was in town for Summerslam. Ziggler said he’d never hurt Maria.
